How to care for the figurines?

The material is sturdy and high-quality, but you should not leave it outdoors permanently or expose it to constant sunlight so that you can enjoy it for a long time. In addition, the figurine should not be exposed to extreme temperatures (above 100°C). IMPORTANT: The figurine may react with certain types of plastic (PS, PVC, polystyrene). It is recommended to not bring the figurines into contact with these types of plastic. Since August 2023, all figurines are coated with a varnish on the underside to prevent such a reaction. Use a soft, dry brush to clean the figurine.

Which material do you use and how do you make them?

I use oven-bake polymer clay (Fimo Professional & Effect). After baking, it is elastic to hard but still not indestructible. I also use aluminium foil, wire, pastel chalk, mica pigments, glitter and varnish, depending on the creation. Guinea pig replicas are always painted with high-quality acrylic paints and sealed with varnish. All my figures are hand-sculpted by me. I use various tools for this. It takes me anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours to complete a figure. Read more about my working process here.

How big are your sculptures?

Sizes vary. The common pegapigs from the pegapig land are usually between 2.5 cm and 4 cm long. Larger guinea pigs are up to 9 cm long. The WeeWheekys are about 2 cm small.

Something is broken, what now?

This hardly ever happens when handled correctly. Please contact me first to clarify what needs to be done. However, I cannot take responsibility for damages caused by incorrect handling. I will be happy to help you find a suitable solution. In general, broken elements can be glued back on. Please note that not all adhesives are suitable for this and may even damage the figurine.

Are your figurines toys?

They are unique works of art and therefore collectibles and should not be given to children to play with. They are quite small and can be swallowed (choking hazard!). You know your child best. If you think your child can handle them responsibly, then the decision is yours. However, I do not take responsibility if something gets broken.

How does custom-orders work?

Fill out the order request form and I will contact you to discuss the details. A request is non-binding. If you are certain that you want to place an order for a custom-made product, you will receive a reservation and I will contact you as soon as I'm ready to start. You pay a deposit, which is non-refundable once I've started with the sculpting process. You can find the order form and detailed information here: To the custom-made products

How much does your sculptures cost?

Each figurine has an individual price. It depends on the size, complexity and time I need to work on a figurine. There is a price overview for guinea pig figurines under ‘Custom-made items’. You can see the prices of the figurines sold in my shop. The WeeWheekys usually cost 12€–20€.

How can I order and pay?

You can place your order and make your payment in my shop. Simply add your choice to the shopping bag. After entering your address, you can choose your preferred payment method. The options include PayPal, and credit card payment.
You can also pay in instalments. To do so, simply select the pay in instalment option. I will send you an invoice via PayPal, and you can decide for yourself how much and how often you pay until the invoice is fully paid.

Do you only do guinea pigs?

No, I am open to other animals/objects. Guinea pigs are simply the main feature and the heart of pegapigsDESIGNS. Please take a look at my product gallery.

How much is shipping and how do you ship your creations?

Unfortunately, due to some regulations, shipping is not possible to the following countries: Italy, France, Great Britain, Poland, Lithuania, Greece, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal, Hungary, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Canada, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Cyprus and Austria. Personal Pick-up is possible for Austrian customers. I am truly sorry that I am no longer able to offer worldwide shipping, but I don't have the recources for these regulations as a small business. Should this change, I will inform you about it.

Shipping costs depend on the country you live in. The exact price will be displayed in your shopping cart. This is calculated based on the value of the goods.
For Germany, it is 7€ with tracking and liability (HERMES) up to 500€ and 7.70€ with tracking and liability up to 500€ (DHL). With tracking and liability up to 20€, it is 5€ for shipping.
For the EU and all other countries, it is 12.50€ with tracking and liability up to 20€.
For custom-made items or figurines with a higher value, higher insurance costs may result in higher shipping costs. However, I will discuss this with you.

All parcels are usually shipped within two weeks except pre-orders. I take great care when packing my creations, but I cannot take full responsibility if something is damaged by the shipping company or if the parcel is lost. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR ADDRESS IS CORRECT TO AVOID LOSS OR ADDITIONAL COSTS. You would have to pay the additional costs.

What is "shipping paid"?

If you have purchased a figurine with shipping and you purchase another figurine a few minutes or days later, you can select this option.
This only applies if the previous order has not already been shipped and if all products can be shipped together.

What is Wait&Collect?

If you want to save on shipping costs, you can select this option. You can do this by ticking the box in the shipping options. I will hold your order until you want everything to be shipped. For Germany, the final shipping costs are a maximum of 7.50€. For the other available countries, the final shipping costs are a maximum of 12.50€. For the United States, a total of 35€ will be charged. If you have paid lower shipping costs (for example, 9.20€ for a small WeeWheeky parcel), additional shipping costs may be charged, but these will not exceed the maximum amount. I will inform you personally by email about the final shipping costs.
